Microsoft announces Pax8 as indirect CSP distributor in ANZ

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Microsoft has recently announced Pax8 as a Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) indirect distributor in the ANZ region.

The new collaboration will see Pax8 work with Microsoft to help simplify the way organisations buy, sell, and manage cloud solutions.

This new development comes at a time when Pax8 is undergoing significant growth in the region. In July, the company acquired New Zealand-based cloud services firm Umbrellar in order to expand its geographical and digital transformation services in the Asia-Pacific region.

Microsoft chief partner officer for ANZ Vanessa Sorrenson says the move serves as an extension of the ongoing relationship between the two companies and will provide resellers with better channel solutions.

"Microsoft has a multi-distributor model to take Microsoft Cloud to market in Australia and New Zealand," she says.

"Microsoft and Pax8 have a strong relationship globally, and we are pleased to announce this collaboration in the ANZ region to give our resellers options as to where they source their cloud requirements."

Pax8 chief commerce officer Nick Heddy agrees, saying that the new agreement will help the company drive new growth opportunities for customers and enhance the channel ecosystem.

"Pax8 is a champion for our partners through our people, education, technology, and support," he says.

"Over the years, we have built innovative programs to drive partner enablement, which is a key cornerstone in our value proposition to the IT channel ecosystem. We are thrilled to add Microsoft to our technology stack for MSPs in Australia and New Zealand. This will unlock new opportunities for business growth, optimisation, and operational success in the markets."

And by having Microsoft support, Pax8 can further empower MSPs to have successful business outcomes and provide better solutions.

"Pax8 is a disruptor in the market, built to address the ongoing challenges MSPs have long had with traditional distribution," says Pax8 Asia CEO Chris Sharp.

"Microsoft is a huge cornerstone in our go-to-market strategy in Australia and New Zealand, and the authorisation will empower our growing list of partners with the critical expertise and support to grow their Microsoft business successfully."

As part of the agreement, Microsoft and Pax8 say they will collaborate over the coming months to finalise the detailed scope of the partnership in the ANZ region.

Pax8 says that it is a born-in-the-cloud company and that it will continue to aim to displace legacy distribution by connecting the channel ecosystem and providing better channel-based solutions.
