Microsoft drops mega Surface Pro 3 hint…
Microsoft will unveil the Surface Pro 3 in New York next week, if growing media speculation is to be believed.
Following news of a private Surface event on May 20, industry figures have been trying to second-guess Redmond's next move - with many believing the Surface Mini will be the main attraction in the Big Apple.
Yet following a 'typo' on Microsoft's Support Page, the tech giant may well be revealing more than just a smaller Surface device.
In offering advice on how to add recording support for H.264 in the Surface Pro 3, The Verge first reported the error, although somewhat unsurprisingly, Redmond has downplayed the incident.
""The [knowledge base] is in reference to generic H.264 video updates for the Windows ecosystem, as evidenced by the 'applies to' section on the page," a" Microsoft spokesperson confirmed.
"To avoid any confusion, we've updated the KB article to correct the typo and better convey the information as intended."
While Microsoft's explanation is entirely plausible, it will do little to prevent the tech world speculating that the Surface Pro 3 will be unveiled to the world early next week…
