Microsoft NZ unveils 2018 partner awards finalists

Microsoft has announced the finalists for its 11th annual New Zealand partner awards ceremony, with a multitude of organisations selected across 11 categories.

Ingram Micro, Dicker Data, Dimension Data, Intergen, Datacom and Spark are all amongst the finalists, with categories including Channel Development, Business applications, Modern Workplace and Data - AI.

Microsoft says this year's awards will have a focus on customer experience, with finalists chosen for 'solutions that empower customers through innovative use of Microsoft technology'.

Microsoft New Zealand One Commercial Partner director Phil Goldie says, "So many of our partners have demonstrated outstanding technical excellence, that fantastic Kiwi entrepreneurial spirit and above all, a strong focus on making their customers' lives easier,

"We may have streamlined the awards to make it easier to enter this year, but the judges will have a tougher decision than ever.

This year's ceremony sees a reduction in categories, from 26 to 11, which Microsoft says was done to magnify its focus on customer needs.

"What really stands out for me is the transformative nature of the work our partners are doing. They're using technology, data and platforms in clever ways that really makes a difference to every aspect of their customers' operations, enabling them to be in a much stronger position for the future," Goldie continues.

"Every one of these finalists deserves to be celebrated and I'd like to offer them my congratulations, as well as every one of Microsoft's partners who took the time to enter. I can't wait to see what the judges decide and see who the ultimate winners are.

All finalists will be acknowledged at the awards ceremony on June 21, 2018.
