Nutanix appoints Christian Goffi as channel sales VP for the Americas
Nutanix has today announced the appointment of Christian Goffi as the company's new vice president for Americas channel sales.
The role was recently vacated by Christian Alvarez, who was promoted last month to the senior vice president of worldwide channels.
Goffi will oversee partner strategy and go-to-market programmes within North and South America as part of Nutanix's wider growth acceleration strategy in the hybrid cloud space.
As key aspects of this strategy, Goffi will work closely with Nutanix's value-added resellers, distributors, system integrators and strategic OEM partners, according to the company.
"As we continue to build out our channel organisation in the Americas and enter our next phase of growth, we need a channel sales leader with a transformational, progressive and data-driven mindset that can strategically align the channel with our goals and go-to-market objectives," says Goffi's immediate predecessor, Nutanix senior vice president of worldwide channels Christian Alvarez.
"Christian's proven record of leading growth companies and his diverse channel experience across geographies, industries and business models will be strong assets for Nutanix.
"Having worked with Christian in the past, I can attest to his entrepreneurial mindset and acute awareness of the channel landscape that make him well equipped to lead our Americas team as we develop new ways to support our partners through digital transformation in order to partner even more effectively.
Goffi's most recent role was Juniper Networks head of channel - distribution sales, where he was responsible for 5,000 reseller and distribution partners across the same region he will now oversee at Nutanix.
Prior to that, Goffi's experience includes more than a quarter-century of leading high-performance teams in executive sales and channel management roles at leading technology and telecommunications companies.
Prior to joining Juniper Networks, Goffi held a number of senior leadership positions at companies including Cyan Inc, Avaya, and Nortel Networks.
"I'm thrilled to be joining Nutanix, a company I've admired for its innovative hyper-converged infrastructure, cloud solutions, and customer-first approach," says incoming Nutanix vice president of Americas channel sales Christian Goffi.
"There is a great opportunity ahead for Nutanix partners to evolve together with us in this subscription economy in a way that minimises complexity and maximises value return for our customers.
"These are extraordinary times, and I look forward to leading the Americas channel team through the next phase of our evolution.
The announcement is one of many channel-related milestones for the company recently. Last month Nutanix announced an expansion to its integration partnership with ServiceNow, in a bid to simplify operations as the COVID-19 pandemic disrupts the market.
