Open Platform Systems inks Axis NZ deal
Open Platform Systems (OPS) has inked a deal with Axis Communications to distribute the network video provider's full suite of products in New Zealand.
Axis' product range includes in-camera recording devices, hosted video offerings, full-featured recording to system servers and customised offerings provided by partners.
The company works across a range of sectors, including retail, banking and finance, traphnsportation, city surveillance, education, government, healthcare, industry and critical infrastructure.
Wai King Wong, Axis Communications country manager for Oceania region, says the vendor enables its partners to tailor solutions to match their customers' exact needs, 'providing end-to-end solutions across multiple technologies to suit all applications'.
OPS joins Axis Communications' existing local distributors, C10 and Hills Security.
Kob Ben-Shabat, Open Platform Systems managing director, says the deal reflects increasing demand for IP network cameras from its partners servicing a range of industries and sectors in New Zealand.
The deal is an extension of OPS' Australian distribution rights, in place since 2011.
Wong says the CCTV and video surveillance market is headed in a direction where revenue for network video is expected to overtake analogue for the first time.
"This growing demand is reflected in the extension of our distribution agreement with Open Platform Systems into the New Zealand market,” he says.
OPS has an Auckland office.
