PaperCut earns prestigious ISO 27001 Certification for security
PaperCut, the global print management solutions provider, has been bestowed with the respected ISO 27001 Certification. This marks a milestone for their Information Security Management System (ISMS), testifying to its compliance with internationally recognised standards for security best practices.
Increasingly deemed a decisive factor by decision-makers when considering product or service offerings, the ISO 27001 certification is emerging as a significant differentiator. The ISO 27001 is the world's best-known standard for ISMS, and it stipulates requirements that an ISMS must meet. This international standard offers valuable guidance for organisations of any size across all sectors, aiming to establish, enforce, maintain, and continually enhance their information security management system.
Achieving conformity with ISO 27001 indicates that a business or organisation has set in place a system to confront risks related to the security of data owned or handled by the company. Importantly, the system adheres to all the best practices and principles mandated by this International Standard.
Steve Holmes, Head of Global Sales & Channels / EMEA GM at PaperCut, made comments on the achievement, "Customers are increasingly looking for security certification as part of their product or service selection criteria. In line with that, PaperCut has always had a highly responsible and proactive approach to security, as witnessed by the measures we have taken to attain ISO 27001 Certification. It provides our customers and partners with additional assurance that our efforts to keep data secure are compliant with security best practices outlined in the ISO 27001 standard."
He further elaborated, "In addition to offering easy-to-use print solutions that are suited to the performance and flexibility requirements of the modern hybrid work environment, our robust information security processes will ensure peace of mind for new and existing customers."
In respect to everyday user experience, PaperCut integrates security throughout the entirety of the print lifecycle. From securing the print infrastructure ahead of printing to managing permissions over who can print and what can be printed, it ensures protection. Throughout the process of printing, it brings security to print workflows while also, post-printing, managing control of documents through features like a secure release.
Additional information on PaperCut's acquisition of the ISO 27001 Certification will be made available in the upcoming weeks.
