FYI, this story is more than a year old

Ping Identity has appointed Ashley Diffey as the company's first APAC channel and alliance manager.

Based in Melbourne, Diffey is responsible for managing and enabling Ping Identity's channel organisations within the region and supporting partner go-to-market strategies and sales.

Diffey joins Ping Identity with more than 10 years of sales and channel leadership experience in the IT industry, having worked for organisations including Venn IT Solutions, F5 Networks, Commvault, WestconGroup, Broadreach Services and Telstra.

In his most recent position at Venn Solutions as General Manager for Victoria, Diffey established the company's Victorian branch based in Melbourne and expanded the company's portfolio of customers.

Prior to that, he was at F5 Networks where he managed the company's partner relationship with Telstra and oversaw the organisation's southern regional channel.

He also previously worked at Commvault in several positions, including as director for channel sales Australia and New Zealand and southern region channel sales manager.

“Ashley has a background of contributing to and building successful channel engagements,” says Ping Identity APAC regional director Geoff Andrews.

“He joins Ping Identity at a significant time in our strategy to expand the market footprint of our identity and access management solutions. At the same time, his considerable experience and industry skills will support our partners in creating market momentum and winning relationships with their customers.

During the past 12 months, Ping Identity has increased its regional staff headcount and is experiencing significant growth in sales to public and private sector customers.

The company has a team of salespeople, professional services architects and customer success management based in Australia serving the region.

In addition, Australia is one of the company's global IDaaS hubs as well as one of the company's 24x7 support centres, where it has a complete support team of engineers.

“It's great to be joining Ping Identity at a time when the identity and access management market is taking off and we can further enable our consulting partners with the deep technical experience they require for customer digital transformation success,” says Diffey.

“We have a great opportunity to support partners with the combination of specialist skills, market-leading solutions and clear differentiation in key market segments, and I look forward to developing and driving our partner relationships in supporting customer value.
