Qualys appoints Ben Brown to lead ANZ channel push

Qualys has appointed Ben Brown as ANZ Channel Manager, adding to a broader hiring push in Australia and New Zealand.
Brown will work with ANZ Managing Director Sam Salehi to expand the company's partner base and bring more firms into its managed Risk Operations Centre Partner Alliance. The role is intended to strengthen channel coverage across Australia and New Zealand as Qualys grows its regional customer base.
The appointment forms part of Qualys' effort to build a regional model centred on Risk Operations Centre services. In ANZ, the company works with customers in government, banking and finance, and education, with much of that reach delivered through partners.
Qualys has also made three other local hires: Senior Security Solutions Architect Alex Beheshti, Technical Account Manager Vishal Pukale, and Account Executive Nakisa Rezakhani. The additions expand its local sales, technical, and customer support functions.
Brown joins from Cloudflare, where he was Senior Partner Manager. He previously held partner leadership roles at Sumo Logic and CyberArk, and brings more than a decade of experience in channel development across cyber security and cloud markets.
Channel focus
The ANZ channel role will focus on recruiting and enabling service providers that can deliver managed risk services based on the company's Risk Operations Centre framework. The framework is designed to help customers assess, report, and reduce cyber risk through a structured operating model.
For security vendors, channel expansion in Australia and New Zealand has become an increasingly important route to growth as customers shift toward managed services rather than standalone software tools. Managed service providers and consulting partners often provide the main route into large enterprises and public sector buyers in the region.
Salehi linked Brown's appointment to that strategy.
"Ben's appointment comes at a pivotal time as we expand our mROC Partner Alliance community locally, helping partners scale ROC-led managed services and deliver stronger outcomes for customers," said Sam Salehi, Managing Director for ANZ at Qualys.
"We are looking forward to bringing Ben's deep channel experience and proven track record of building high-performing partner ecosystems to Qualys. He'll be instrumental in accelerating existing partnerships and onboarding new mROC partners as we strengthen our presence across ANZ."
Regional build-out
The hiring programme suggests Qualys is placing greater emphasis on local execution in ANZ rather than relying solely on broader Asia-Pacific coverage. For security suppliers selling into regulated sectors, in-country staff can be important for partner management, technical support, and customer retention.
The additional appointments also show the expansion is not limited to indirect sales. By adding an architect, a Technical Account Manager, and an Account Executive, Qualys is increasing resources for pre-sales work, customer engagement, and account development.
This comes as buyers across government, financial services, and education face sustained pressure to improve visibility over cyber exposure and compliance obligations. In that environment, vendors have increasingly tried to package software, advisory support, and managed services into a single operating model that partners can take to market.
Qualys has more than 10,000 subscription customers worldwide, including many large global companies, and has long positioned partnerships as a route into enterprise accounts. Its broader ecosystem includes cloud providers and managed service partners, reflecting the wider shift in cyber security toward platform-based sales supported by services firms.
In ANZ, the latest appointments indicate Qualys sees room to deepen those relationships at a time when competition for partner mindshare remains intense across the cyber security sector. Brown's remit will be to turn that strategy into a larger local alliance base while the wider team supports customers and partners across the region.
