Rackspace Technology, an intense player in the industry of end-to-end multicloud technology solutions, has announced the appointment of Luke McLean to the role of Director of Sales for Australia and New Zealand for Public Cloud.
McLean's appointment forms part of a broader strategy to drive Rackspace Technology’s growth within the Australian and New Zealand market. He brings with him invaluable expertise developed over a stretch of more than a decade in significant tech firms and will be primarily tasked with guiding Rackspace Technology’s growth and extending existing partnerships.
In response to the announcement, Martin Dube, Vice President of Public Cloud, APJ at Rackspace Technology, emphasised the company's strong record in developing and managing large complex cloud infrastructure projects across the region. Luke’s experience in leading channel teams in the region will help Rackspace Technology expand our existing partnerships and grow alongside our clients," says Dube.
Luke's history includes stints with notable international and Australian companies such as Veritas Technologies, Brennan IT, Dimension Data, Insight, TAS, and most recently, Xtremax. While serving at these firms, he made significant contributions to various leadership teams and became deeply involved in brand strategies, product launches and strategic relationships. His experience covers a range of IT fields, including Managed Services Provider (MSP), Professional Services, data, and cloud technologies. This wealth of knowledge, coupled with his experience in both the ANZ and Asia-Pacific regions, cements him as an invaluable addition to the Rackspace Technology team.
