Restructuring Certus expands business divisions
Fri, 19th Apr 2013
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Certus Solutions has announced a significant business restructure, splitting the management of two lines - Business Analytics (BA) and Information Management (IM) - as a result of significant growth in both areas.

Australasia's largest pure play IBM software and services company has also announced two new appointments in line with the move, Julien Redmond as general manager, Information Management and Dannielle Nguyen as general manager, Business Analytics.

"These changes have been designed to adapt to the rapidly changing market dynamics and the growing solution portfolio IBM provides in both Business Analytics and Information Management," says Tom Reich, GM, Certus.

“Though Information Management and Business Analytics do often go hand in hand, they now need to be managed as two very distinct offerings due to their increasing complexity.

"Analytics isn't just about business intelligence, reporting and analysis for finance, operations and sales functions any more.

"For example, we are now providing predictive and social analytics for marketing departments.

“Information Management is no longer just data warehousing and data management.

"Now it's all about big data and information governance as well as data quality."

Redmond has been promoted after four years with the company as Business Development manager, with the responsibility for the continued growth of the Certus IM division across the ANZ region.

Nguyen joins the company as as its GM of Business Analytics with over 16 years' experience in the ICT and business environment.

Certus says she will be responsible for the growth, profit and general health of the BA division across the area.

“Appointing two specialists, with great track records, and their fingers on the pulse, is an important move," says Brian Allen, CEO, Certus.

"It will ensure both divisions have the required management, planning and execution experience for their continued growth and success, under the expert stewardship of Tom Reich.
