FYI, this story is more than a year old

rhipe has been appointed as an APAC distributor for Microsoft Azure cloud automation specialist, Nerdio.

With remote workforces accelerating cloud adoption, many partners are leveraging the opportunity to establish and grow cloud practices in Microsoft Azure, a release from the company states.

With Nerdio joining the portfolio, rhipe partners can benefit from Azure technical and operations enablement, guidance on packaging offerings and management of complete Azure environments, including Windows Virtual Desktop.

“Nerdio takes a holistic view by empowering partners to build successful cloud practices using the latest deployment technology, supporting them no matter where they are on their cloud journey. We are pleased to welcome Nerdio to the rhipe portfolio and know they will deliver significant value to our partners,” says rhipe CEO Dominic O'Hanlon.

Nerdio empowers managed service providers (MSPs) to deliver Microsoft Azure cloud services, including basic infrastructure as a service (IaaS) solutions and Windows Virtual Desktop.

The Nerdio solution helps MSPs automatically deploy a complete Azure environment in just a few hours, while providing a cost estimator that makes pricing Microsoft Azure cloud services quicker, and less confusing.

MSPs can manage their Azure users, Windows 10 Enterprise desktops and servers from one centralised location, and Nerdio's auto-scaling functionality optimises and monitors usage, meaning partners – and their customers – only pay for what they use.

“As a leading Microsoft Azure partner in the region, rhipe's expertise, particularly in the managed desktops space, is significant in helping us extend our product into every Asian country and gain consistency in the market. There is no other company who provides the energy, time, guidance and support needed to make the move to Azure as seamless as possible,” says Nerdio chief revenue officer Joseph Landes.

Nerdio was founded in 2016, delivering automation of IT environments in the cloud.

Today, Nerdio for Azure and Nerdio for WVD is a comprehensive Azure deployment, pricing, packaging, management and optimisation solution for MSPs.

Recently, rhipe acquired New Zealand-based Azure and specialist IT services provider Parallo.

Parallo helps independent software vendors (ISVs), software as a service (SaaS) businesses and other scale-based cloud partners to manage security, performance, availability and cost, including builds, deployments, upgrades and many other related services.

The end goal is to enable companies to focus on their own software applications with Parallo taking care of the cloud workload management.

Parallo's Azure and VMWare environment expertise was built over the last nine years and developed into intellectual property and know-how on managing Azure and VMWare environments.

The acquisition of Parallo will allow Rhipe to deepen its offering to its partner ecosystem.
