FYI, this story is more than a year old

WAN optimisation solutions verified by Brocade as compatible with the Brocade 7500/FR4-18i Blade.

The Brocade Data Center Ready Program is described as an initiative designed to foster interoperability in multi-vendor Brocade-based data center environments. Riverbed has said that an impressive group of members have joined the program since its launch in 2000.

“We’ve worked closely with Brocade on product testing to ensure interoperability and simplified product integration that will provide our customers with increased performance. This can significantly reduce the need to upgrade bandwidth – allowing companies to make their current infrastructure more efficient,” said Venugopal Pai, Vice President of Alliances at Riverbed.  “Through ongoing partner engagement and product development we’re continuing to create solutions that address the challenges enterprises encounter during DR operations.”

Patric Chang, Director of Strategic Alliances at Brocade, added, “We are pleased that Riverbed’s successful completion of the Data Center Ready Program certifies its Steelhead appliance’s interoperability with the Brocade 7500/FR4-18i Blade,” said Patric Chang, director of Strategic Alliances at Brocade. “As storage area networks are being deployed worldwide at a rapid rate, customers now have the added confidence that these technologies can be utilised where appropriate as part of scalable, high-performance networking environments.”
