Smartsheet & AWS launch global co-selling & AI integration

Tue, 4th Nov 2025

Smartsheet has announced a new multi-year strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services, transitioning their existing development partnership into a focused sales and go-to-market relationship.

The agreement between Smartsheet and AWS will initiate a global co-selling initiative covering North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), aimed at helping customers implement and scale Smartsheet more rapidly. The companies say this joint sales approach will see sales teams from both organisations working together to accelerate deployment of the Smartsheet platform.

An important aspect of the new agreement is streamlining procurement through AWS Marketplace. This is expected to reduce transaction times by up to 60 percent, streamline billing and management, and enable customers to use their committed AWS spend where eligible. According to Smartsheet, customers will benefit from a more efficient process for deploying the platform and managing their cloud infrastructure.

Security and governance are also a priority area under the new arrangement. Smartsheet says procuring its services via the AWS Marketplace will strengthen both security and governance practices, helping organisations enforce consistent policies and reduce procurement risk.

"This expanded collaboration between Smartsheet and AWS is a win for customers. Together, we are delivering unmatched value and shortening the on-ramp for customers from selection to business outcomes. The creation of a dedicated global GTM motion on top of our deep technical relationship makes it easier for customers to access and benefit from a platform that's continuously enriched with foundational AWS technologies," said Eva Schönleitner, Vice President of Global Partnerships at Smartsheet.

The announcement highlights that this collaboration builds on a history of development between the two companies, with Smartsheet already incorporating various AWS products to support key platform functions. Among these, Amazon Neptune is used by Smartsheet to power its Knowledge Graph, providing customers with a more interconnected overview of their work. Furthermore, Amazon Bedrock is deployed to enhance developer productivity, enabling more rapid delivery of features to users.

Smartsheet states the enhanced partnership will tighten its integration with AWS technologies, positioning artificial intelligence as a core element of its future platform development. The company sees this as a way to further unify people, processes, and data for its global customer base.

The global co-selling initiative, streamlined procurement through AWS Marketplace, and strengthened security policies form the core components of this new agreement, reflecting what Smartsheet describes as an ongoing investment into collaborations that enhance organisational efficiency and operational clarity.
