SnapperNet picks up video surveillance brand

IT distributors SnapperNet have added another brand to their suite, German video surveillance providers Mobotix.

Already distributed here by Christchurch-based Network Imaging Solutions, Mobotix offers a decentralised surveillance system, with each camera containing its own high-speed computer for recording images.

Doing it this way removes the need to the high network bandwidth and PC processing power required by centralised systems, Mobotix says.

SnapperNet director Richard Paul says Mobotix is an exciting addition to the company’s portfolio.
