Internet security firm Trend Micro has appointed David Higgins as Business Development Director, Value, ANZ.

Higgins will report to MD, Dave Patnaik and his role will focus on driving new customer acquisitions across the region and driving all business developments within Trend Micro’s value business.

Previously Higgins was at Sophos, as Director of Sales and before that he held positions with IT organisations including 3Com, Tech Pacific Australia and Epson, NEC Australia.

Patnaik said: “David’s appointment is in line with our rapid growth as a leader in internet security. We are thrilled to have an IT industry veteran with such extraordinary business development, marketing and management credentials join our team and convinced that David has the right skill set and experience to drive Trend Micro’s business development effort even more.”
