Based in San Ramon, Tessell specialises in next-generation database-as-a-service (DBaaS) solutions that assist startups and enterprises in modernising data and applications on a large scale.

The company offers cloud-native DBaaS on major platforms such as AWS and Azure, providing high-performance storage capabilities that cater to demanding production workloads.

One of the standout features of Tessell's services is its multi-cloud capability. This enables customers to utilise their own cloud accounts, identities, licenses, and keys to avoid vendor lock-in.

The DBaaS platform supports six database engines, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Milvus, and MongoDB, enhancing flexibility and scalability for its users.

In response to the accolade from Redpoint Ventures, Bakul Banthia, Co-founder of Tessell, expressed his gratitude.

This recognition by Redpoint Ventures underscores Tessell's innovative approach to database services and its commitment to flexible, high-performance, and secure data management solutions.

Co-founder and CEO of Tessell, Bala Kuchibhotla, is set to join other InfraRed 100 leaders at Nasdaq to discuss the evolving landscape of cloud infrastructure. The event is expected to provide further insights into the future of the industry and the role of pioneering companies like Tessell.

In addition to this recent recognition, Tessell has also achieved the AWS Migration and Modernization Competency status.

The company has been featured on CRN's 2024 Big Data 100 and Stellar Startups 2023 lists, further solidifying its position as a notable player in the DBaaS market.

Redpoint Ventures, which has a history of backing successful startups, identifies companies like Tessell that are poised to lead the way in cloud infrastructure innovation.
