TIBCO taps former CA Technologies talent for A/NZ VP role

22 Feb 2018

Integration, API management and analytics company TIBCO Software has appointed John Kearney as regional vice president for Australia and New Zealand. Based in Sydney, Kearney will be responsible for accelerating growth in the region, while driving customer engagement and strengthening both partner and alliance networks. Kearney previously served as Zuora’s head of sales for the Asia-Pacific region, where he led a team of 15 employees in a franchise model, providing full business coverage for APAC while taking responsibility for sales leadership and execution.

As well as this, Kearney has more than 20 years’ experience in global and regional sales management for enterprise software companies.

This includes a 10-year stint at CA Technologies where he served in a range of positions including sales executive, business unit director and sales director.

Kearney has also worked for SAP as a performance consultant between 1996 and 1999 where he delivered health checks on SAP R3 environments prior to customers going live or performing large upgrades. On his appointment, Kearney says he is excited to add compliment to the company’s recent performance in local markets.

“I am excited to get fully immersed in my role at TIBCO and maintain its momentum in the ANZ market with new opportunities,” he says.

“I am looking forward to leading the growth of TIBCO’s integration and analytics solutions in the region and expanding its breadth of customers and partners.” Erich Gerber, TIBCO APJ general manager adds,  “We’re pleased to welcome John to TIBCO. His extensive industry experience – particularly as it relates to cloud offerings – along with his passion and tenacity are ideal to meet the potential for our integration and analytics solutions in this market."
