Trend Micro adds Deep Security to VCE converged systems
Trend Micro will bundle its Deep Security offering with the VCE converged and hyper-converged systems, after the security vendor joined the VCE Select Program this week.
Trend Micro says the strengthened partnership will help address companies' need to secure cloud environments built on VCE solutions.
The company has received both Vblock Ready and VCE Validation Ready certifications.
Trend Micro says combining VCE converged infrastructure solutions with Deep Security provides customers and partners with advantages including easily building, securing and scaling enterprise-grade applications, such as SAP; automating the security for VDI deployments and enabling enterprise-grade scalability and rapidly deploying secure hybrid cloud deployments with layered unit-level protection, unified policies and single-pane-of-glass management across private and public clouds.
Key compliance requirements for PCI 3.1, HIPAA, NIST, SSAE-16, FedRAMP and others, will also be addressed using a single security platform.
Sasha Pavlovic, Trend Micro Asia Pacific director of cloud and data center security, says by joining the program, VCE and Trend Micro can offer customers a seamless experience securing their cloud and data centers, allowing them to focus on business objectives rather than infrastructure compliance and security.
Rael Morris, VCE director of technology alliances, says customers are increasingly looking for tested and validated security solutions for private and public clouds that complement VCE converged infrastructure solutions.
