Ultimate Ears launches EVERBOOM & refreshes speaker lineup

Ultimate Ears, a brand under Logitech, has unveiled the EVERBOOM, a portable speaker engineered to provide robust 360-degree sound. Alongside this new offering, Ultimate Ears has refreshed its existing speakers—WONDERBOOM, BOOM, and MEGABOOM—boasting enhanced acoustics, fresh colour options, and sustainable materials.

EVERBOOM is our answer to their call for a portable speaker that marries robustness with superior sound quality. It's meant to be a core part of their explorations."

The EVERBOOM speaker is designed for outdoor and indoor use. Its oval shape, reminiscent of its predecessor, the EPICBOOM, is notable for its portability. The acoustic architecture is highly optimised, providing clear mids and highs, deep bass, and distinct vocals. Its punchy and resonant sound quality makes it suitable for environments such as hillside hikes or lakeside retreats.

Regarding durability, the EVERBOOM carries an IP67 rating, meaning it is waterproof, dustproof, and floatable. A built-in carabiner allows the speaker to be easily attached to bags, gear, or backpacks. The device offers a 55-meter Bluetooth range and up to 20 hours of playtime, catering to long adventures. An Outdoor Boost button is designed to enhance bass and optimise the sound specifically for outdoor settings. Additionally, the EVERBOOM includes a one-touch NFC feature for quick Bluetooth connections with NFC-compatible Android smartphones running version 8.0 or later.

Alongside the launch of EVERBOOM, Ultimate Ears has updated its existing speaker lineup. The WONDERBOOM 4, BOOM 4, and MEGABOOM 4 now feature fabrics made from 100% post-consumer recycled material and are equipped with USB-C charging ports. BOOM 4 and MEGABOOM 4 models include enhanced deep bass radiators for a more powerful sound experience, while the WONDERBOOM 4 introduces a new podcast mode for improved voice listening.

The company has also introduced Megaphone, a new feature available in the UE | BOOM app. This function transforms a smartphone and speaker into a makeshift megaphone. By tapping the Megaphone button and speaking into the phone, the user's voice is projected through the speaker, which can be useful for a variety of activities, from calling people to the dance floor to making announcements during outdoor events. This feature is compatible with all speakers that support the UE | BOOM app.

Sustainability is a significant focus of these new products. The plastic components in EVERBOOM consist of at least 58% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic. The WOONDERBOOM 4 contains 31% PCR plastic, BOOM 4 uses 52%, and MEGABOOM 4 utilises 54%. The fabric used across all these models is made entirely from PCR polyester. The speakers’ paper packaging is also sourced from FSC-certified forests or other controlled sources.

Pricing for the newly launched speakers is NZD $429.95 for the EVERBOOM, NZD $179.95 for the WONDERBOOM 4, NZD $279.95 for the BOOM 4, and NZD $379.95 for the MEGABOOM 4. These products are available for purchase from participating retailers or directly through the company's website.
