V2 AI has appointed Josh Lopez, Shane Rendoth and Sam Harley to senior leadership roles, expanding the consultancy's leadership team across applied AI and its Brisbane business.

Lopez joins as Partner, Applied AI; Rendoth as Partner, Brisbane; and Harley as Director, Applied AI, as the Asia Pacific data and AI consultancy responds to rising customer demand for AI deployment work beyond pilot projects.

Organisations are moving from experimentation to broader implementation, driving demand for advice on strategy, governance, engineering and delivery.

Lopez joins V2 AI after more than nine years at Versent, where he most recently served as Head of Digital & AI. He also held senior roles including General Manager NSW, Head of Cloud and Technical Director, Cloud. Earlier, he worked at GE Capital in solution architecture and software engineering roles across Asia Pacific and Japan.

At V2 AI, he will focus on applied AI work for customers seeking to move emerging AI tools into day-to-day operations.

"AI is moving rapidly from experimentation into solving core business outcomes, and organisations need the architecture, data foundations, governance and engineering capability to make AI work reliably at scale," said Josh Lopez, Partner, Applied AI, V2 AI.

Rendoth will lead the Brisbane business after previously serving as Head of Major Accounts, ANZ at Versent. There, he led service partner teams working with large customers on programmes covering AI, data, security, identity and digital experience.

His earlier experience included roles at Thoughtworks and Redman Solutions, as well as advisory and partnership positions across technology-focused businesses. He will work with Queensland organisations on technology and AI strategy, focusing on linking business priorities to execution plans.

"The biggest challenge for many organisations is knowing where to focus their effort and investment to achieve the outcomes that matter. I'm looking forward to working with V2 AI's customers to cut through the complexity, challenge conventional thinking and help leadership teams make confident decisions about where data and AI can create lasting value," said Rendoth.

Harley joins as Director, Applied AI, with more than 20 years of experience in enterprise technology, solutions architecture and AI. Before joining V2 AI, he was Principal Solutions Architect at Elastic, where he worked with strategic accounts in retail, banking, telecommunications and software.

Earlier roles included senior solutions architecture positions at Databricks, MongoDB and Airwallex. He will work with customers on applied AI systems that connect enterprise data, software and workflows.

"I am passionate about agent-based automation as a core business value driver. I'm excited to be working with V2 AI to support scaled enterprise adoption while ensuring agentic trust, accuracy and governance. There's a ripe opportunity to help organisations build AI systems that can operate reliably within the complexity of enterprise environments," said Harley.

Growth phase

Founded in 2023, V2 AI operates across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. The consultancy focuses on data and AI services for large organisations across the Asia Pacific region.

The latest hires add experience from several established technology firms as consultancies and enterprise customers compete for staff with practical AI delivery backgrounds. All three appointees have worked across cloud, architecture, customer transformation and large account management.

Craig Howe, Chief Executive Officer of V2 AI, said the appointments were intended to strengthen both technical and strategic support for clients working through AI adoption.

"We're focused on helping organisations address the practical challenges that come with AI implementation. We combine deep technical expertise with an understanding of how AI operates within complex enterprise environments. Josh and Sam bring deep applied AI and technical expertise, while Shane brings a strong commercial and strategic perspective on how organisations turn technology investment into meaningful outcomes," said Howe.
