FYI, this story is more than a year old

Veeam Software has today announced that it has been recognised with an HP AllianceOne Partner of the Year Award for Converged Storage at HP Discover in Las Vegas.

“Veeam views HP as a vital strategic partner,” says Don Williams, regional director APAC, Veeam Software.

"And customers have come to rely on our joint solution to protect their VMware and Hyper-V workloads.

"Our upcoming release of Veeam Backup & Replication v7 will further strengthen this relationship by adding ability to back up from HP StoreVirtual Storage and HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage snapshots, which will exponentially improve recovery point objectives (RPOs).”

The backup solutions provider was honored because of "the dramatic improvements in Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) users can achieve by combining Veeam Backup & Replication with HP StoreVirtual Storage and HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage snapshots."

Integrated into Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam Explorer for SAN Snapshots enables HP StoreVirtual and HP 3PAR StoreServ users to restore VMware virtual machines (VMs), or individual files and emails directly from HP storage snapshots without having to deploy agents on hosts or VMs.

As a result, users experience shorter RTOs for VM, file and application item recovery directly from SAN snapshots.

"Veeam is recognised as HP AllianceOne Partner of the Year in the Converged Storage category for their Veeam Backup & Replication which can be combined with HP StoreVirtual Storage and HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage snapshots to quickly and efficiently restore individual files and emails,” says Doug Oathout, vice president, Channel and Alliances, Enterprise Marketing, HP.

“Veeam has demonstrated their expertise in this area by developing this innovative backup and recovery solution for its customers, paving the way for more agile business.”
