Veracode unveils enhanced global partner programme amid AI boom

Fri, 2nd Aug 2024

Veracode has introduced its enhanced Veracode Velocity Partner Programme and an upgraded Partner Technical Certification Programme.

The improvements come as the software security industry faces significant changes, driven by the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, which has increased the necessity for secure software on a global scale.

The enhanced Veracode Velocity Partner Programme is developed based on extensive partner feedback and aims to meet their varied levels of engagement, investment, and needs. The programme's clarity and simplicity are expected to enable Veracode’s customers to concentrate on delivering value rather than navigating complex processes, which in turn will foster advancements in application risk management.

This programme is specifically designed to offer rewards and benefits that enhance the ability of partners to provide high-value application and cloud risk management solutions. It introduces a streamlined approach for collaboration with resellers and value-added distributors in regions including North America, Latin America (LATAM), Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Asia-Pacific (APAC).

In parallel, Veracode has launched a new Partner Technical Certification Programme, structured across four progressive certification levels. This initiative is designed to improve partners' technical skills and visibility. It eliminates the need for Continuing Professional Education and uses Credly badges to recognise expertise.

Chris Peterson, Vice President of Global Channels at Veracode, underscored the importance of these updates. He stated, "The software security industry is experiencing a massive shift, with the explosion of AI accelerating global efforts to secure software. This is changing the way many partners do business as they require even more advanced industry-wide technical capabilities. With the launch of our enhanced global partner programme, we are setting a new standard for collaboration in the software security industry." Peterson further added that the enhancements would help partners support their customers to build and scale secure software from code to cloud using the Veracode application risk management platform.

Among the key benefits of the Velocity Partner Programme are early access to Veracode products, invitations to Veracode Technical Summits, and membership in the Partner Technical Advisory Council. Additional advantages include participation in thought leadership programmes, revenue acceleration programmes, and increased marketing investment.

Traci Byrne, Head of Global Security Strategy & GTM at World Wide Technology, commented on the programme's impact: "Veracode's new partner programme transforms the way we engage with security solutions. The structured tiers and clear incentives allow us to align our investments directly with outcomes, benefiting both our clients and our business strategy. This programme not only supports our growth but also enhances our ability to deliver comprehensive security solutions to customers more effectively."

Michelle Jones, Senior Manager of Strategic Alliances at GuidePoint Security, noted, "The clarity and simplicity of the programme allows us to focus more on delivering value and less on navigating complexities. Through our strategic partnership, we can better serve our customers and drive significant advancements in application risk management."

Ahmed Soltan, Managing Director at Shifra, also praised the programme, stating, "The launch of Veracode's enhanced Velocity Partner Programme marks a pivotal evolution in our collaboration. The programme's multi-tiered structure and emphasis on strategic partnerships empower us to elevate our service offerings and achieve greater market penetration."

In addition, Veracode has appointed Kompingo as their Value Added Distributor in the UK and Ireland, continuing to expand their channel team with new hires.

Peterson concluded by saying, "The enhanced programme directly addresses the growing needs of our partners, providing them with a clear path to success. Our goal is always to empower partners to grow their businesses while jointly delivering superior security solutions to our customers worldwide."
