Websense signals ambitious kiwi growth plans

Mon, 21st May 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Web, email and data security provider Websense is targeting double-digit growth in New Zealand in the next 12 months, appointing former Gen-i and Microsoft staffer Simone Neunz as the company’s first New Zealand territory manager in a bid to increase margins and revenue.

Neunz, whose most recent role was New Zealand business manager for Insight Enterprises (formerly Software Spectrum), has over 17 years’ experience in the industry, and will be responsible for driving sales as well as developing partnerships.

Gerry Tucker, country manager for Websense ANZ, says the company’s customer base in New Zealand is still relatively small.

"Even though it’s a mature market we’re not where we are in Australia so there is significant growth potential.”

The brand is distributed in New Zealand by Westcon. Check out Neunz’ LinkedIn page here, and watch out for a full interview with Tucker in the June issue of The Channel.
