Zevero launches AI tool to cut ESG reporting time by over 40%

Today

Zevero has introduced a new feature called ESG Disclosure AI to its carbon management platform, designed to simplify and accelerate ESG reporting processes for businesses.

The new ESG Disclosure AI tool harnesses artificial intelligence to review internal documents and automatically extract data relevant to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosures. The feature links the extracted data to the appropriate questions in global ESG frameworks, such as B Corp, CDP, and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), before drafting tailored responses that Zevero's sustainability experts then review.

According to Zevero, initial users of the ESG Disclosure AI feature have reported a more than 40% reduction in the time required for ESG reporting, while maintaining data accuracy rates above 90%. The company says this improvement leads to greater consistency and efficiency in reporting cycles.

Zevero's ESG Disclosure AI scans documents, including impact reports, sustainability policies, and governance records in multiple languages. The platform supports over 100 languages and generates both qualitative and quantitative ESG report responses. These responses are subjected to a review and validation process by Zevero's internal sustainability team before being finalised for submission.

Addressing the wider context for the launch, Zevero said organisations are experiencing heightened regulatory and stakeholder demands related to ESG disclosures, often resulting in reliance on time-consuming, manual reporting or external consultants. The company maintains that its approach offers a more scalable and automated alternative suitable for businesses of any size.

Shigeo Taniuchi, Chief Executive Officer of Zevero, commented, "We created this offering to eliminate the complexity and inefficiency that teams face when reporting ESG performance. By streamlining the entire process, we're enabling growing businesses to meet their obligations confidently and with far less effort."

Taniuchi added, "Our customers—from fast-growing consumer brands to global manufacturers—told us they needed a simpler way to manage ESG reporting. We're proud to offer a solution that's fast, accurate, and accessible to teams of any size."

Internal data from Zevero's initial testing and user trials indicate the new tool delivers an average time saving of over 40% for ESG reporting teams. The data accuracy above 90% aims to reduce the risk of errors or inconsistencies in compliance and stakeholder disclosures.

Zevero's ESG Disclosure Reporting solution has been designed to be adaptable for various types of users and organisations, including those responding to investor inquiries, fulfilling regulatory obligations such as the Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR), or managing a rising number of supply chain questionnaires. Zevero states that, unlike conventional reporting solutions or consulting-based approaches, its platform is built to support growth without requiring increased internal resources or spending on external services.

The ESG Disclosure AI feature is part of Zevero's wider sustainability and carbon management offering, which provides emission tracking and climate strategy support for organisations in over 20 countries. Zevero's services are used to manage more than 100 million kgCO2e annually for businesses such as Yakima Chief Hops, Delphis Eco, Wieden+Kennedy, and Asahi.
