Aqua Security makes inaugural Fortune Cyber 60 list
Aqua Security, a leading provider of cloud-native security solutions, has been recognised as an influential start-up on the inaugural Fortune Cyber 60 list. The list, a collaboration between Fortune and Lightspeed Venture Partners, identifies the most crucial venture-backed start-ups within the cybersecurity sphere.
Included within the growth-stage segment, Aqua Security has made significant progress in the past year. The selection process for the Fortune Cyber 60 list required a survey of more than 300 cybersecurity start-ups, taking into consideration aspects such as growth rate and annual recurring revenue (ARR). The results showed Aqua's growth highlights, including a striking 65% increase in new business in the first half of the year and channel-driven revenue doubling on an annual basis.
Lightspeed Venture Partners also presented its 2023 CISO Survey results as a part of the announcement. These results forecast a robust growth for cloud security, especially as more enterprises transfer mission-critical workloads to the cloud. This trend endorses the fact that there is a growing demand for Aqua's cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP). This unique and integrated solution facilitates customers in identifying and halting attacks throughout the complete application lifecycle.
Chief Executive Officer and co-founder at Aqua Security, Dror Davidoff, expressed his thoughts on the company's achievements, "Our mission from the very first day has been to secure applications in the cloud. As a partner to our customers, our understanding of their challenges and anticipation of their needs drives our innovation.
"Our unique capability to help them see and stop cloud-native attacks in real time is a key factor behind our quick growth. This recognition in the Fortune Cyber 60 list reaffirms our methodology and success," he says.
Davidoff says the increasing demand for Aqua's state-of-the-art technology has resulted in steady growth and market dominance. Presently, the company guarantees security for the cloud deployments of two-fifths of the Fortune 100 companies, as well as serving over 500 enterprise customers across 40 nations. Clients are processing up to 10 billion images each year. Notably, Aqua is the preferred cloud-native security provider for the financial sector, with six of the top ten North American banks and six out of seven of Canada's largest banks among its clientele.
Apart from featuring in the Fortune Cyber 60 list, Aqua Security has recently been acknowledged in other industry rankings. It was designated a leader on GigaOm's Radar for Container Security, an Overall Leader in the 2023 KuppingerCole Software Supply Chain Security Leadership Compass, and was singled out as a Representative Vendor in the Gartner Market Guide for Cloud-Native. Further honours include being a CISO Choice Awards winner in the Cloud Workload Protection Platform category and named Enterprise Cloud Security Solution Provider of the Year at the CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards.
