FYI, this story is more than a year old

Prominent importer and distributor Blonde Robot has announced its newest distribution partnership with Studio Network Solutions (SNS) in Australia and New Zealand.

As part of the agreement, Blonde Robot will now be distributing SNS's EVO shared storage workflow server in the two countries, which the companies say will provide content creation teams in the region with tools to enhance workflows and bolster flexibility, with built-in SAN and NAS.

“EVO is now used in over 70 countries, and our mission is to help media teams of all sizes succeed,” says Studio Network Solutions president Ryan Stoutenborough.

“Signing Blonde Robot as our distributor for Australia and New Zealand is an ideal partnership because they share our enthusiasm for solving workflow problems, providing great customer service, creativity, and have a genuine love for the brands they represent.

“Their distribution network already has strong connections across similar market sectors such as post-production, VFX, broadcast, creative agencies, in-house marketing teams, sports, universities, houses of worship, and recording studios, and with SNS they can now address any need for better storage.

The EVO shared storage system comes with the ShareBrowser media asset management software, which aids post-production teams working within a shared storage workflow.

It also features a central database that lets users view multiple different storage workspaces – including cloud services such as Dropbox, Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, Hightail, and Adobe Creative Cloud.

“The collaborative shared storage solutions offered by SNS are critical in the current climate where remote workflows have become a necessary part of today's modern post-production approach,” says Blonde Robot managing director Chris Horsley-Wyatt.

“SNS is to be applauded for its swift response to the challenges presented by COVID-19 through their fast-tracking the release of SNS Nomad and SNS VPN, a complete remote editing workflow solution for users of the EVO shared storage system.

Developed in response to the great shift to remote working in the wake of the pandemic, SNS Nomad enables more efficient work-from-home, with improved collaboration capabilities between in-house teams and virtual workers.

As part of the Midwich Group, Blonde Robot now also has the benefit of the audiovisual and IT markets and the opportunity to expand further into these growing segments.

“Collaborative workflows, whether for the post-production sector or unified communications, is a key focus for Midwich,” says Midwich managing director for APAC Michael Broadbent.

“As a group, we continue to look at every facet of the media, production, audiovisual, and IT landscapes to address any gaps and ensure we can help our reseller network keep pace with constantly shifting technology and deliver on market requirements, including business continuity.
