Citrix reveals new channel lead for Asia Pacific and Japan
Kathy Chen is the new vice president of channel for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) for Citrix.
She will report to Bronwyn Hastings, senior vice president of Worldwide Partner Sales at Citrix.
With extensive experience in business and strategic channel development across diverse regions, Chen will be responsible for the Citrix partner ecosystem in the Asia Pacific and Japan region; overseeing the growth of the channel business and driving value for our partners in the region.
Chen joined Citrix in 2017, as area vice president of Greater China, and has successfully grown the channel ecosystem.
"With a deep understanding of business transformation and leading change, as well as adapting to the ever-changing needs of the APJ region, Kathy will strengthen our ability to help our partners across the APJ region to support our mutual customers in their business transformation journey," the company says in a statement.
"Citrix is a world-class enabler of digital business with solutions that deliver the experience, security and choice that people and organisations need to innovate, engage customers and be productive anytime and anywhere," says Chen.

Chen is an industry veteran, bringing over two decades of experience in business leadership, sales management and operations, channel and alliance management from companies such as Twitter, Microsoft, Cisco Systems and 3Com. Prior to joining Citrix, Chen was the managing director for Twitter in Greater China, where she lead the companys growth across Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Chen holds a bachelor degree of Computer Science from Beijing Jiaotong University.
Citrix solutions are in use by more than 400,000 organisations including 99 percent of the Fortune 100 and 98 percent of the Fortune 500.
The company recently appointed a new technology strategist and field chief technology officer (CTO) for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region, Safi Obeidullah.
Based from Citrix's Sydney offices, Obeidullah's appointment was announced in December 2019.
He will lead the company in developing new customer relationships, evangelising the importance of employee experience through flexibility and collaboration and delivering flexible working solutions. He will report to Citrix vice president and CTO Christian Reilly.
Obeidullah has more than 20 years of experience in IT, primarily focused on end user experience.
He has been a key member of the Citrix Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) team for the past nine and a half years, and the last seven as Citrix's Director of Sales Engineering in ANZ supporting customers to realise their own digital transformation and implement improved employee experience for some of Australia's largest brands.
