Exeed takes over Sophos distribution

08 Jun 16

Exeed has been appointed to manage Sophos’ New Zealand distribution in a move the security vendor says will boost its local growth strategy and bring significant incremental revenue for resellers.

The deal – and a new distribution deal with SnapperNet for some of the Sophos range – replace Sophos' previous distribution agreements in New Zealand, with a spokesperson telling ChannelLife NZ that 'moving forward, Exeed and SnapperNet will be the New Zealand distributors for Sophos and Cyberoam'.

Ashley Wearne, Sophos Australia and New Zealand general manager, says Exeed’s proven track record and history will help Sophos broaden its footprint in New Zealand and bring ‘substantical incremental revenue’ to Exeed’s existing partner base.

“Sophos offers a range of exciting, unique cloud-based solutions, which open up a new class of business opportunities for our partners,” Wearne says.

“All these solutions can now be managed through one single pane of glass with Sophos Central, a technology we know is a great fit for New Zealand, due to the market’s high level adoption of cloud.”

Sophos Central, which was recently introduced in the local market, provides a centralised platform for partners to manage Sophos offerings or customers. The offering includes Sophos Central-Partner, a specialised dashboard allowing partners to distribute licenses, add new customers, cross and upsell services, drive recurring revenue and get a real-time view of customer activity.

“Partners can respond to security incidents faster and track alerts of all levels directly from the dashboard, so time spent handling incidents, including minor ones, is more productive and effective,” Sophos says.

Justin Tye, Exeed managing director, says the distributor is ‘delighted’ to have been selected as the Sophos distributor in New Zealand.

“Sophos offers a comprehensive end to end solution, which we believe both complements and extends our capabilities in managing and securing networks,” Tye says.

“Exeed is looking forward  to helping Sophos grow its footprint in New Zealand via our broad channel reach, supported by our skilled security specialists.”
