Geoff Wright to lead Dell EMC's channel in ANZ
Dell EMC has named its new channel chief for Australia and New Zealand, as the company makes moves to combine the former Dell and EMC channel programs.
Based in Sydney, Geoff Wright will lead the ANZ channel business, responsible for the implementation of new Dell EMC Partner Program, formally scheduled to come into effect in February 2017.
He will report into Tian Beng Ng, senior vice president of APJ Channels.
Wright will have primary responsibilities for Dell EMC’s sales efforts across all of its commercial channel partners, including distributors, resellers and system integrators, and will play a critical role un unifying the legacy partner programs of Dell and EMC.

With the incredible improvements coming to the Dell EMC Partner Program, our channel needs an incredible leader who understands the local market, has been working with partners across the country and knows how to lead through this transition,” says Ng.

Wright joined Dell in 2015, bringing with him nearly 30 years of strategic channel experience. Ng says with a vision of becoming the leading channel-centric organisation, Wright’s appointment is a strategic move to help Dell EMC’s partners bridge the gap from legacy infrastructure to becoming trusted advisors with the most innovative technologies, to enable customers to overcome future challenges and harness opportunities ahead.

Dell EMC announced it will be combining the best elements of the former Dell and EMC channel programs to create a new, tiered partner program globally. The company says the new Dell EMC Partner Program will ensure all partners have ample opportunity, business confidence and commensurate profitability, regardless of their tier. The expansive program will encompass the entire Dell EMC partner ecosystem, inclusive of Solution Providers, Cloud Service Providers, Global Alliances, OEM Solutions partners and distribution.
