HAT to distribute Tufin across Australia & New Zealand
HAT Distribution has signed an agreement to distribute Tufin in Australia and New Zealand, adding the network security posture management vendor to its security portfolio and extending Tufin's channel reach in the region.
The deal comes as large organisations run increasingly mixed network estates, combining legacy firewalls and private infrastructure with public cloud services. Security teams are also managing SASE frameworks and microsegmentation projects. Each layer adds policies, change requests, and compliance requirements.
Enterprises and government agencies are under pressure to make network changes faster while maintaining governance. Many teams still rely on manual processes for firewall rule changes, policy reviews, and audit preparation, increasing operational risk when environments span multiple vendors and deployment models.
Tufin sells software for managing security policy across complex networks. Its platform provides a single view of policy and change workflows across different firewall vendors and network architectures, and automates parts of policy management and change handling, including documentation and approval processes.
Tufin describes its Unified Control Plane as a central point for visibility and policy management across hybrid networks. It says customers can implement secure changes faster than traditional manual approaches and reduce risk linked to human error.
Channel expansion
Tufin already operates in Australia and New Zealand. HAT Distribution plans to increase local engagement by working with partners on technical enablement and solution design, rather than focusing on volume distribution alone.
It plans to work with partners selling into regulated sectors and large enterprises, where auditability and policy accuracy matter. These customers often face strict internal controls and external compliance obligations, and typically run multi-year network programs that blend older infrastructure with cloud services.
HAT Distribution also plans to provide pre-sales design support and technical enablement to integrate the platform into complex customer environments, including estates with firewalls and security tools deployed at different times and managed by different teams.
Josh Gammer, Director at HAT Distribution, linked the agreement to rising policy complexity across hybrid deployments.
"We're having more conversations with partners who are navigating increasing policy complexity across hybrid environments. Every cloud workload, every SASE rollout, every new regulatory obligation adds another layer of policy management, particularly in Australia and New Zealand markets, where governance and auditability are non-negotiable," said Josh Gammer, Director, HAT Distribution.
He said organisations need visibility and control across modern network estates.
"What organisations need isn't another point tool, but clear visibility and control across firewalls, cloud platforms and newer architectures that were never built to operate as one. Tufin provides a single control plane that cuts through that complexity, offering a cleaner way to manage policy at scale," said Gammer.
Regional focus
The agreement strengthens Tufin's partner coverage in a market where customers often require documented change control and regular reporting. Government buyers and critical infrastructure operators in Australia and New Zealand also tend to set high expectations for audit readiness and security assurance.
Distributors play a central role in helping security vendors reach mid-sized partners and larger systems integrators across the region, typically providing training, solution design assistance, and access to vendor resources. This model has become more important as security products span on-premises infrastructure and multiple cloud environments.
Michael Bosnar, VP Sales, APAC, at Tufin, pointed to customer complexity and the value of local partner relationships.
"Organisations today are managing more complexity than ever across their enterprise network environment. HAT Distribution's technical depth and strong partner relationships make them well positioned to extend the value of Tufin across Australia and New Zealand," said Bosnar.
HAT Distribution specialises in enterprise security, IT operations, and infrastructure. It said the Tufin signing aligns with its strategy of maintaining a focused portfolio aimed at infrastructure complexity in the ANZ market. The distributor will take the platform to its partner base, emphasising architectural alignment and technical enablement for large and regulated customer environments.
