Industry veterans strengthen Extreme Networks' expansion drive

SYDNEY, October 25. Extreme Networks has appointed two new Business Development Managers tasked with accelerating the company’s current strong growth in the NZ and Australian markets. They are Graeme Hannel, formerly CEO of management consultancy Lorem, and Peter Clarke, an IT & T business development specialist for more than 25 years.

The company’s Regional Director, Australia and New Zealand, James Owens, said: “Graeme and Peter bring us significant experience and expertise at pivotal time for Extreme Networks. Customers are responding to our Four Pillar strategy with its focus on migrating organisations from physical to virtual to cloud, and our network infrastructure solution that addresses the complexities introduced by virtualisation and consolidation in the data center.”

Graeme Hannel established Lorem in 1997 to provide strategic level advice to executive management in blue chip organisations wishing to improve their business-related customer interactions. Prior to that he was Account Manager – Government at Alactel for 10 years, and earlier Network Services Manager with IDAPS Australia.

Peter Clarke spent the past decade spent at the forefront of converged communications, primarily within the carrier and service provider space. He has been Business Development Manager withIVSTEL, and Strategic Account Manager for Verizon Business, Australia. Further experience was gained with Broadreach Services, Alcatel Australia Limited, Anite/Logicalis, Network Vision Systems, and Network Solutions.
