Ingram Micro has been awarded Red Hat’s APAC Distributor of the Year for 2013 at Red Hat’s APAC partner conference, held in Bangkok last week.

Beating competition from across the Asia Pacific region, the award recognised the company’s success and innovation in driving channel sales of open source solutions in the Asia Pacific market.

Gary Bigwood, managing director, Ingram Micro New Zealand, says Ingram Micro has had a long and successful partnership with Red Hat.

“This award is extremely gratifying. It recognises the success we’ve had across the Asia Pacific region in increasing revenues and driving renewal rates up.

"We’re extremely pleased with our progress and we’re looking forward to a similarly successful year next year.”

Branding the award a team effort, Bigwood added: “It reflects a lot of hard work by the Ingram Micro and Red Hat teams and our reseller partners.
