Jessica McFadden has been appointed as the new Country Manager for Cisco New Zealand, with the announcement made today by multinational technology conglomerate Cisco. McFadden, who recently led Cisco's New Zealand Channel and Service Provider business, has commenced her new role with immediate effect.
This follows a distinguished 16-year tenure with Cisco, during which McFadden has proven herself as a leader within the Australian and New Zealand technology community. Over 25 years in the tech sector, she has gained significant experience leading large-scale technology transformation projects for a myriad of customers and partners.
McFadden will facilitate and support the technology transformation of the company across its broad portfolio. She will spearhead the team from Cisco's Auckland base. Sharing her thoughts on the new appointment, McFadden says, "I'm humbled to take on the leadership of Cisco New Zealand."
She went on to praise the innovation of New Zealand's technology sector, stating, "New Zealand customers and partners are leaders in innovation and often flexible in adopting new technologies in a way that benefits all New Zealanders. I am inspired by the way that NZ has a unique ability to influence global technology direction."
Focusing on future endeavours, McFadden shared her excitement for her new position, "I am excited to lead the Cisco New Zealand team. We are a close-knit group who are laser-focused on strategic outcomes for customers and partners."
Prior to her appointment as country manager, McFadden worked in Cisco Australia's Service Provider business, where she supported key customers with their infrastructure requirements and managed sales strategy and execution.
McFadden steps into the role previously held by Garrett Heraty, who led the New Zealand business for two years before returning to the US. Heraty will take on a new role in Cisco, specifically within their global go-to-market team for the Enterprise Networking portfolio, and work under Brink Sanders, the Vice President of Global Networking Experience.
