Kentico celebrates 20 years of innovation & digital growth

Kentico, a prominent name in the realms of CMS and digital experience platforms, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Originating as a bachelor thesis project by founder Petr Palas in 2004, the company has significantly evolved and established itself as a global entity, playing a substantial role in the digital transformation of numerous businesses worldwide.

Reflecting on the company's journey, Head of Brand and Content, Jonathan Henault, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "This month, we are celebrating 20 years of innovation, growth, and success with Kentico!" From a simple CMS framework in its initial stages, Kentico has flourished into a global brand with multiple offices and has achieved substantial growth milestones, including a 1,781% five-year growth rate just six years into its journey, which earned it the 4th spot in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50.

One of the notable milestones in Kentico's timeline includes the release of Kentico Xperience 13 in October 2020. This marked a significant upgrade to its platform, paving the way for the launch of Xperience by Kentico three years later. The latter is an innovative digital experience platform tailored to meet the dynamic marketing needs of modern businesses.

As of 2024, Kentico prides itself on being at the forefront of the industry for digital experience platforms. Its offerings are shaped by customer feedback and the expertise of its team. Today, Kentico supports over 90,000 websites, demonstrating its expansive reach and influence in the digital space.

In celebrating its 20 years of accomplishments, Kentico's team, which has grown to more than 250 individuals led by CEO Dominik Pinter, gathered to reflect on its journey. The company emphasises team spirit and personal and career growth as core values, contributing significantly to its continuous success. This cohesive team, some of whom have been with the company since its inception, is central to Kentico's progressive culture and achievements.

Importantly, Kentico's success is bolstered by an extensive network of over 500 digital agencies, which play a critical role in customising the Kentico platform to meet client-specific solutions. Their 11 Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs), who are passionate marketers and developers, provide invaluable guidance and feedback, further refining the platform to address user needs effectively.

CEO Dominik Pinter, a long-standing member of the Kentico team, shared his experiences on the occasion of the company's 20th anniversary. Pinter's association with Kentico began in 2007 as a part-time QA tester while still a student. His career within the company saw him evolve through various roles, including technical leader and product manager. After a brief hiatus, Pinter returned as the vice president of product management before taking on the role of CEO in 2022, following the transition of founder Petr Palas to the position of chairman. "My journey with Kentico has been incredibly rewarding, and I am proud of where we stand today as we celebrate this milestone," Pinter remarked.

His extensive knowledge and experience within Kentico have been instrumental in steering the company towards future growth. Under his leadership, Kentico aims to maintain its status as a reliable digital experience platform across various industries.
