Logitech G unveils G515 wireless gaming keyboard for NZD $299.95

Logitech G, a prominent brand in gaming technologies, has unveiled the G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL Wireless Gaming Keyboard. This new addition to the 500 Series Gaming Keyboard line-up is characterised by its low-profile design, advanced technologies, and high-performance features.

The G515 keyboard stands out due to its slimmer profile, boasting a height of only 22 mm. This design eliminates the necessity for a wrist rest, providing a more comfortable gaming session. According to Logitech, the keyboard’s low-profile switches activate with minimal distance—only 1.3mm—and have a total travel distance of 3.2mm, shorter than traditional switches. “This enables gamers to accelerate actions per minute,” the company explained.

Arnaud Perret-Gentil, Head of PC Gaming at Logitech G, commented on the new release: “With the iconic G915 gaming keyboard, Logitech G delivered a first-of-its-kind low-profile keyboard renowned for its exceptional quality, top-tier performance, and premium design features. With the G515 low-profile design, we have pushed the boundaries even further. With the G515, we've maintained the sleek design while also including our latest technology innovations, such as LIGHTSPEED, LIGHTSYNC, and KEYCONTROL, to give gamers an advanced and high-performance gaming keyboard experience.”

Among its new features, the G515 includes sound-dampening foam, pre-lubricated switches, integrated stabilisers, and premium PBT keycaps. These enhancements aim to ensure optimal comfort and deliver a smoother feel when typing, with a less scratchy and more refined sound.

The G515 is also equipped with Logitech G's newly announced KEYCONTROL technology. This feature allows for a significant degree of customisation, enabling each key to perform up to 15 different actions. Gamers can personalise their keyboard with macros, audio cues, lighting effects, and more. KEYCONTROL also includes layers and modifiers like G SHIFT, which increase customisation possibilities, enabling entire key layouts to be switched at the press of a button.

Additional features of the G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL Wireless Low Profile Gaming Keyboard include a convenient 2:1 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Pairing. This function allows gamers to connect a gaming mouse, such as the G502 X PLUS, via the G515 LIGHTSPEED dongle, freeing up an extra USB port. Players can also access over 16.8 million colours to customise their experience with LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting, which can be synchronised with other Logitech G gear using the G HUB software.

The keyboard offers versatile Tri-Mode Connectivity options, allowing users to choose from LIGHTSPEED wireless, Bluetooth, and USB-C wired data modes. Additionally, it supports up to 36 hours of continuous, uninterrupted gameplay on a single charge.

The Logitech G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL Wireless Gaming Keyboard is available in Black and White and is priced at NZD $299.95 for the wireless version.
