NTT creates ANZ business as part of Asia Pacific expansion, announces new leaders
NTT has announced an expansion into the ANZ region, bringing together Australia and New Zealand to form an extended region with the Asia Pacific.
The global technology services firm says the new extended region will create the "strongest technology services company across the geography, enabling NTT to better serve its clients in the fastest-growing, most profitable market in the world".
These markets will be led by John Lombard as chief executive officer for the extended Asia Pacific (APAC) region, and Tania Balcombe for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). The changes follow the retirement of Steve Nola from the role of chief executive officer for Australia after 31 years with the NTT family.
The changes are effective on 1 October.
"Creating this extended region means that NTT Ltd. will be a stronger partner for its 1,400+ clients across Asia Pacific, making it easier for partners to work with the organisation," NTT says.
"It will also ensure that NTT Ltd. becomes the number one provider in security, data centers, networks, collaboration, managed services and systems integration."
John Lombard has been with the NTT family for five years, and held the position of CEO for Dimension Data Asia Pacific before leading the NTT Ltd. business in Asia Pacific since 2019. John joined NTT from SAP, where he held the role of Head of Services for SAP Asia Pacific Japan.
Tania Balcombe has been with the NTT family for 14 years, most recently as chief marketing -gGo-to-market officer for NTT Ltd. in Australia. She also led the Australian marketing team for Dimension Data prior to the company becoming integrated to NTT Ltd. in October 2019. Prior to working for NTT, Tania spent five years at Fuji Xerox.
"As part of our ongoing focus to transform our business, we have been reviewing how we can be faster to market, better serve our clients, align to our industry priorities and increase career opportunities for our people," says NTT Ltd's global chief executive officer, Jason Goodall.
"The changes we have decided to make position NTT as the strongest technology services company in Asia Pacific," he says.
"I am also delighted to appoint John and Tania, who are two exemplary, world-class leaders and have proven great success in the Asia Pacific region.
Goodall added, "I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank Steve Nola for his extraordinary contribution to our business over the past 31 years and wish him and his family a very well-deserved retirement."
