Pax8 launches new cybersecurity programme for partners
Pax8 has announced the launch of a new security programme aimed at supporting its partners in improving their cybersecurity practices through a guided training journey.
The programme is based on the CIS Control Framework and offers partners a structured approach to strengthening their cybersecurity measures. It includes instructor-led virtual sessions and various resources that are designed to help partners enhance their proficiency in cybersecurity prevention.
The company highlights that the rise in cyberattacks on small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) has led these businesses to rely on managed service providers (MSPs) for cybersecurity support.
However, MSPs often face challenges in keeping up with the changing cybersecurity landscape, making it difficult to convey the value of cybersecurity investments to their clients.
"As cyberattacks continue to rise among the small-midsized business (SMB) market, more companies are turning to managed service providers (MSPs) for guidance," said Vicky Critchley, Corporate Vice President of Partner Experience at Pax8.
"However, MSPs often struggle with maintaining cybersecurity proficiency in the evolving landscape and demonstrating the benefits of cybersecurity investments to their clients. Through our game-changing programme, Pax8 is not just offering competitively priced solutions; we're providing partners with a proven path to success based on recognised industry standards, quantifiable results, and future-proofed solutions."
The Pax8 Security Programme focuses on two main components: enhancing business acumen and improving knowledge of vendor solutions. The business track of the programme delivers education and enablement at a business and category level through virtual training sessions, each consisting of three to four 90-minute live sessions. The vendor track offers vendor-specific education and enables access to on-demand vendor training, professional services, and Pax8-assisted sales calls.
Andrew Scott, President at AFScott, expressed his support for the programme, stating, "In today's world where threat actors are becoming more intelligent and cyber attacks more complex, simply having access to security products is not enough – you need a true partner in cybersecurity. Pax8 has proven to be that partner, and their enablement resources have helped us have deeper conversations with our clients around risk.
"They now understand that security is constantly evolving and a cost of doing business, and 99 percent of our partners are now more protected through our security offering. The security programme Pax8 is building is unlike others I've seen, and critical for MSPs looking to level up their practice."
Pax8 collaborated with several cybersecurity firms in the development and launch of the programme, including Microsoft, SentinelOne, and CrowdStrike, among others. This initiative also includes product offerings from SentinelOne and CrowdStrike that are customised and affordably priced to provide partners with comprehensive solutions to secure their clients.
The Pax8 security programme has been made available globally, with its launch in the US earlier this year and more recently in the EMEA region in October.
