Rapid7 has named Orro its APJ Partner of the Year in its 2026 partner awards programme, with four other Australian firms also recognised across regional categories.
Triskele Labs, Cythera, DGplex and ctrl:cyber received top honours in their respective APJ categories. Overall, the programme recognised 28 partners across 12 categories in four geographic regions.
APJ winners
Orro received the APJ Partner of the Year award. Triskele Labs was named Best Customer Retention Partner of the Year, Cythera won Detection & Response Partner of the Year, ctrl:cyber was recognised as MSSP Partner of the Year, and DGplex took Public Sector Partner of the Year.
Other APJ category winners included CTC Global Pte. Ltd. (Exposure Management Partner of the Year), UBsecure (Distributor of the Year), and Trends & Technologies, Inc. (Emerging Partner of the Year).
The awards recognise partner performance linked to customer security programmes and operational outcomes, including earlier risk reduction, more efficient security operations and improved resilience.
David Quist, Rapid7's Director of APJ Channel Sales, said the awards recognise regional partners for their performance and collaboration.
"We're incredibly proud to recognise our APJ partners who have earned this year's annual awards," said David Quist, Director of APJ Channel Sales, Rapid7. "These organisations consistently demonstrate excellence and leadership, and we value the trust and collaboration that enable us to jointly deliver meaningful security outcomes for customers across the region."
Channel strategy
Rapid7 positions its partner ecosystem as a route to market for managed services, incident response and advisory work. In APJ, the winners include cyber services providers, managed security specialists, distributors and public sector suppliers.
Orro linked the award to joint go-to-market work with Rapid7, including efforts around Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM). CTEM is a framework focused on continuously identifying, prioritising and remediating exposure across systems and assets.
Orro's focus
Orro's cyber services leadership said customer demand is shifting as organisations mature their security programmes and look for changes they can operationalise.
"Being named Rapid7 APJ Partner of the Year recognises the strength of our partnership with Rapid7 and the value we deliver together for customers," said Manuel Salazar, Director of Cyber Services, Orro. "As organisations across the region mature their security programs, our joint focus on go-to-market execution, particularly around Continuous Threat Exposure Management, positions us strongly to help customers operationalise CTEM and move from visibility to action. We're excited to continue working closely with Rapid7 to drive meaningful, measurable security outcomes."
Rapid7 also said it is reframing the role of partners in customer engagements, with a stronger emphasis on earlier intervention and measurable outcomes rather than reactive work.
Suzanne Swanson, Rapid7's Vice President of Global Channel Partnerships, said partners have been central to that approach across customer environments.
"Our partners play a critical role in helping customers shift from reactive security to a more preemptive, outcomes-driven approach," said Suzanne Swanson, Vice President of Global Channel Partnerships, Rapid7. "This year's Partner of the Year Award winners distinguished themselves by turning insight into action, combining technical excellence with go-to-market strength to help customers confidently command their attack surface."
The APJ results also highlight Rapid7's focus on detection and response delivery and managed services. Separate awards for Detection & Response Partner and MSSP Partner reflect different partner models, from specialist consulting and response work to ongoing managed security operations.
The awards programme forms part of broader channel strategies across the cybersecurity sector. Vendors rely on partners for service delivery, local market coverage and ongoing customer support, particularly in regions with diverse regulatory environments and significant distances between markets.
Rapid7 said it will continue working with APJ partners as customer priorities shift towards continuous exposure management and managed detection and response engagements.
