Tech Data & Horizon3.ai partner to boost APJ cyber resilience
Tech Data has entered into a partnership with Horizon3.ai to provide security validation and exposure management capabilities for partners and enterprises across Asia Pacific and Japan.
The agreement enables Tech Data to distribute Horizon3.ai's NodeZero Offensive Security Platform throughout the region. This move is aimed at helping partners support their customers in identifying and validating real-world vulnerabilities before they can be exploited by attackers.
Regional security concerns
Organisations across Asia Pacific and Japan have been facing increasingly complex cyber threats. The collaboration between Tech Data and Horizon3.ai is intended to enhance cyber resilience within the region by merging Tech Data's local market expertise and enablement programmes with Horizon3.ai's offensive security technologies.
NodeZero offers autonomous penetration testing-sometimes referred to as pentesting-allowing organisations to simulate automated, real-world attacks in a controlled and non-disruptive manner. The partnership will give Tech Data's APJ partners access to this platform, meeting the demand for security posture validation, risk reduction, and compliance support.
Partner enablement
Tech Data partners in the region are set to benefit from several aspects of the collaboration. These include local access to NodeZero's pentesting capabilities, new revenue and service opportunities, as well as enablement programmes such as sales training, technical workshops, and joint marketing support in local languages.
Partners will also receive local distribution and billing that accommodates foreign exchange conversion and flexible payment terms, in addition to support services to ease adoption. Assistance with deployment and integration of NodeZero into customer environments is also being offered.
Industry views
Cybersecurity threats continue to grow in both complexity and frequency, and our latest Direction of Technology Report shows that 49.2% of partners identify emerging threats as a top challenge when developing or maintaining cybersecurity solutions. This partnership gives our partners access to a proven offensive security platform that safely executes real attacks to validate exploitability. By combining Tech Data's enablement programs and local expertise with Horizon3.ai's innovative technology, we are empowering partners to help customers cut through the noise and focus on what attackers can truly exploit.
This statement was made by Anand Chakravarthy, Vice President, Advanced Solutions, Tech Data APJ, who highlighted the growing complexity of the cyber threat landscape and the need for robust validation platforms.
NodeZero aims to enable organisations to understand potential vulnerabilities from an attacker's perspective, providing evidence-based insight into exploitable areas of their IT environments without causing business disruption.
Enterprises in APJ need to know, with proof, how they would stand up to an actual cyber attack. That's exactly what NodeZero delivers. Tech Data's reach, scale, and channel expertise will accelerate adoption across the region, ensuring partners can deliver offensive security at scale and help customers validate their defenses before attackers do.
This was stated by Rob Evans, APJ Regional Channel Manager at Horizon3.ai, emphasising the importance for enterprises in the region to have demonstrable cyber resilience.
Regional availability
Tech Data will be making Horizon3.ai solutions available through its network in India, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Hong Kong. The partnership is expected to simplify the process of adopting security validation practices and bolster support for both new and existing partners in these markets.
Horizon3.ai selected Tech Data for its established presence throughout Asia Pacific and Japan, broad partner network, and its track record in scaling next-generation technologies. Tech Data's role in this partnership includes accelerating delivery of offensive security services to meet the security needs of enterprises operating in diverse regulatory and threat landscapes.
The companies acknowledge increasing regulatory compliance requirements and growing demand from regional businesses for regular, automated validation of their cyber defences. Tech Data aims to address this with localised support for deployment and technical integration of NodeZero into various customer environments.
