Zendesk seeks double success after sales scoop

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Zendesk aims to increase sales growth across Australia and New Zealand after appointing Gavin Muldoon as its new direct of sales for the region.

The cloud-based customer service software provider says Muldoon’s main focus will be on "further fueling the company’s growth in the region."

With a specific responsibility to double sales over the next 12 months in Australia and New Zealand, Muldoon initially heads up a team of five which he aims to grow to at least eight during the same period.

“Zendesk has an ambitious team chasing some equally ambitious growth targets," says Michael Hansen, MD, Zendesk, Asia Pacific.

"When we decided to bring on board a director of sales, we agreed it needed to be someone who shared our vision of understanding not only the latest technologies, but also what it takes to deliver great customer service."

Originally from New Zealand, Muldoon has spent his IT career based in Melbourne, working in the technology sector for 22 years, including positions at Express Data and Commander.

"Gavin delivered on both counts, and also on so much more," Hansen says. "He is already putting in place the foundations for us to develop and nurture a sales team that will see our operations in Australia and New Zealand continue to expand at a rapid rate."
