Announcing Ingram Micro’s King of the Show…
In honour of Ingram Micro stalwart Priscilla King, who has organised the companies and our nations flagship IT event for many years running, an award for the best stand has been created.
The Ingram Micro Showcase, which attracted over 2,000 attendees last month, touches base in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch each year, figuring prominently on the calender of most tech resellers.
After organising the event for over 15 years, the name Priscilla King is synonymous with the Ingram Micro Showcase, in other words, this is her event.
Behind the scenes, King is the brains behind the operation, ensuring a smooth national roadshow for all concerned every year.
Unfortunately King was unable to attend this year's event due to ill health, the first showcase she has missed during her Ingram Micro career.
But not to be defeated, the company has created a competition in her honour, aptly named the King of the Show.
Rewarding the best company stand at the event Ingram Micro will present a trophy to savour. TechDay will also gift the winning firm with $3,200 worth of advertising.
After photographing every stand at the event. the decision rested with King, who picked IBM as the 2013 King of the Show winner.
Congratulations to IBM and we look forward to next year's competition already.
