Ingram Micro hires former NEC & Westcon channel exec

05 Jul 16

Ingram Micro has made a strategic decision to hire Dan Meadows as its business manager for its Unified Communications operations, in which Meadows will be focused on delivering UC&C solutions through reseller channels to end users, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Meadows holds an extensive background with 15 years in the ICT industry. His most notable roles include vendor business manager for Westcon Group and channel manager for NEC.

The bulk of Meadows' expertise comes from his 5-year role at Westcon Group, where he was responsible for the business and channel development for several vendors including Avaya, Jabra, Audio Codes and Aruba. Meadows' work with Jabra helped the unit reach triple YoY FY13-14.

His one-year role at NEC involved 're-energising the Digital Display solutions business (DSD)' through products, content delivery systems and software for both SMEs and large enterprises.

Meadows has also worked as an account manager at IT solutions and as a midshipman in the Royal New Zealand Navy.

Meadows' appointment comes after Ingram Micro was recently awarded New Zealand Distributor of the Year at the Lenovo Australia and New Zealand Business Partner Awards.
