Qrious urges NZ businesses to harness big data speed for success

Wed, 24th Jan 2024

New Zealand-based Qrious is signalling to local businesses about the importance of speed in utilising big data. This comes in the wake of the firm's recent recognition as System Integrator Partners of the Year, an award it shares with Lightfold, by Coalesce—devoted exclusively to providing enterprise-scale efficiency for users of the Snowflake-specific platform.

A leader in producing actionable insights from large volumes of data, Qrious says companies able to swiftly analyse this data can optimise internal procedures, predict customer requirements and augment innovation. This empowers companies to keep pace with market trends. Qrious is witnessing increased demand for cloud computing and tools boosting this speed.

Stephen Ponsford, CEO of Qrious, a Spark Business Group entity, points out that while utilising big data is important, the swiftness in its usage will be the main factor driving success in 2024. Collaborating with Coalesce, which helps rapidly transform the data, oversee changes without interruption, and capitalise on investment in Snowflake infrastructure, Qrious won the 2023 System Integrator of the Year for the Australia and New Zealand markets.

"Big data analytics has now become a critical differentiator, propelling organisations toward sustained growth and enhanced competitive success in an evolving digital landscape," said Ponsford. "We're moving into an era in which how effectively you are able to achieve this will determine success."

Qrious is part of Spark Business Group, New Zealand's largest technology and transformation partner. Qrious offers a range of products and consulting services including data, analytics, artificial intelligence and data powered customer engagement.

Founded in 2020, Coalesce is the only data transformation platform built for scale. Coalesce combines the speed of an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI), the flexibility of code, and the efficiency of automation, empowering its customers with increased data team productivity and insights. Based in San Francisco, California, Coalesce is backed by Emergence Capital, 11.2 Capital, GreatPoint Ventures, and Industry Ventures and supports customers worldwide.

CJ Oordt, Director of Strategic Alliances at Coalesce, applauded the year's victors for their commitment to cloud innovation and transformation, "We're thrilled to continue strengthening these partnerships and advancing data modernisation, especially for Snowflake customers."

Ponsford further elaborated on big data's vital role in fostering innovation and fostering agility in the era of data-driven decision-making. He expressed eagerness to collaborate with even more of New Zealand's leading businesses to help them achieve these goals, concluding, "We look forward to working with even more of New Zealand's leading business to achieve this this year."
