Tenable Network Security has announced the appointment of its first channel manager for Australia and New Zealand, as the security technology firm looks to build upon growth in the Asia Pacific region.

Peter Raven joins the Tenable team from Samsung Australia, and is tasked with deepening and maturing Tenable channel relationships across Australia and New Zealand.

Raven will be based in Sydney.

“Peter's ability to build and lead a highly successful channel program will help Tenable execute on its growth strategies in the region,” comments Gary Jackson, vice president Asia Pacific, Tenable Network Security.

“This increased focus on the channel will also help us drive continued growth in APAC,” he adds.

“We're excited to have him join the Tenable team, and lead the initiative in fostering successful relationships with our distributors and value-added resellers, to enable them to deliver and service our innovative technology.

Raven has more than 15 years of experience in the ANZ IT channel. He joins Tenable from Samsung Australia, where he served as partner business manager, with responsibility for enhancing distribution and increasing revenue through key partners, such as Ingram Micro.

Prior to that, he worked at SourceFire and Cisco Systems, following the company's acquisition, as channel systems manager where he was responsible for driving revenue growth through new partner development, as well as coordinating partner and distributor training and enablement.

“Organisations in Australia and New Zealand now have more complex IT environments than ever before, and they need security tools that address the emerging threat landscape brought on by new technologies,” says Raven.

“It's important that resellers and vendors work closely to ensure customers deploy the right security solutions to meet the demands of the evolving threat environment,” he explains.

“I look forward to building strong alliances with our existing and future partners, and working together to bring next-generation cybersecurity to our shared customers.
