Datastor Forum becomes 'Imagine 2012'
With the rebranding of well-known IT distributor Datastor to Westcon Group NZ taking place at the beginning of March, many in the New Zealand IT channel may have wondered what the future held for popular reseller event, the Datastor Forum.
The good news is the company will continue to host the event, with this year’s to be called Imagine 2012.
Designed specifically for IT resellers, integrators and technology-focused end users, Imagine 2012 will provide attendees with a wealth of information on emerging technologies and insight into the latest business tactics.
Key industry figures and leading technology vendors will offer their thoughts on the concepts and ideas resellers need to understand.
The conference will also feature a Vendor Showcase Arena, where attendees will have a chance to get hands-on with technology from world-renowned brands, as well as forums where people will have the opportunity to speak with industry thought leaders, who will be available to offer advice on issues that are currently influencing business.
The conference will include:
• Industry experts holding multi track and focused sessions on key issues around data security, networking, compliance, convergence, optimisation and virtualisation
• Networking sessions
• Live demonstrations
• An opportunity to connect with IT experts from both NZ and overseas
• Over 27 vendor demonstration booths for one-on-one discussions
• A keynote presentation from Tom Mowbray, competitor in the ill-fated 1998 Sydney to Hobart yacht race
Imagine 2012 consists of two full day events, the first taking place in Wellington on May 15 and the second in Auckland on May 17.
