Lenovo hosted its much-anticipated New Zealand Business Partner Gala Awards, a yearly gathering to celebrate the achievements of the company's top partners in the region.
The event, which took place at The Glasshouse Morningside, saw nine awards bestowed across various categories.
A few of the 2023 winners highlighted were Focus Technology Group, Ingram Micro New Zealand, and Dicker Data New Zealand. The winners were selected by rigorous standards, considering parameters such as their ability to offer innovative services, exemplify professionalism and commitment, and demonstrate exceptional customer service to improve cost efficiencies with enhanced productivity and best practices.
Luke Skinner, Head of Commercial Channel & Distribution, Lenovo New Zealand and Australia, expressed his admiration for their partners' dedication and the synergies in the channel ecosystem. He lauded the remarkable work achieved in New Zealand, fuelled by innovation and hard work, and congratulated the winners for setting technological standards and fostering an influential community in the region.
Further echoing these sentiments, Libby Macgregor, General Manager for Lenovo in New Zealand, shared that the annual event offers an excellent opportunity to recognise and appreciate the partners' significant contributions to Lenovo's growth. She emphasised the importance of the channel ecosystem in creating a significant regional impact.
The event also celebrated individuals showing year-on-year growth and innovation. The recipients of the Sales Excellence Award 2023 were Abdul Izaz of Spark New Zealand in the Enterprise category and Rachael Lattimore of Insight in the SMB segment. Lillian Zhang, PB Technologies Ltd, won the Commercial Partner Champion 2023 award.
The other businesses honoured were Datacom System Ltd, Spark New Zealand Trading Limited, Focus Technology Group (NZ) Limited, and Acquire Limited. These companies won the IDG New Zealand Reseller of the Year 2023, IDG New Zealand Public Sector Reseller of the Year 2023, ISG New Zealand Reseller of the Year 2023, and New Zealand One Channel Reseller Champion 2023, respectively.
